Ingredients

  • 3 Natural Delights Medjool Dates, pitted and torn
  • 1 oz (30 g) vanilla protein powder (about one scoop)
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) raw almond butter
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) espresso (one shot) or 2 tsp (10 mL) espresso powder
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) unsweetened almond milk or skim milk
  • Ice Cubes
  • OPTIONAL
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) cocoa powder or cacao nibs
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) hemp seeds
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) flax seeds or ground flax

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine dates, protein powder, almond butter, espresso and milk. Add about 5 ice cubes, cover and blend until combined.
  2. Optional: Add in some or all of the optional ingredients for extra kick!

Serve immediately.
