  • Sweet & Salty Almond Mini Medjools
  • 16 crackers of your choice:
  • Multigrain crackers

  • Fresh herbs of your choice, for garnish:
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Basil
  • Mint

Preparation

1. Place a layer of mixed nuts at the bottom of each cup (about 2 tablespoons per cup). This helps weigh down the charcuterie cups.

2. Thread a toothpick or small skewer with a small cheese cube, piece of sliced meat, piece of fruit, and a Natural Delights Mini Medjool. Repeat to make about 2-3 skewers.

3. Insert the prepared skewers into the cups, standing upright in the nuts.*

4. Right before you’re ready to serve, add 2-3 crackers around the skewer. Finally, garnish with a few sprigs of fresh herbs.

*Make ahead note: If making the cups ahead of time, stop at this step, cover with saran wrap and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Then, add the crackers and herbs right before serving otherwise they will get soggy in the fridge.

*While Medjool dates are high in natural sugars, they are low on the glycemic index thanks to a balanced amount of soluble fiber. The complex carbohydrates found in Medjool dates are digested at a slower rate, making them a source of dietary fiber and releasing energy to the body over a longer period of time.
