Medjool Date Spiced Rum Cocktail


  • 8 (1.5 ounce) shots spiced rum (equivalent to 1 ½ cups)
  • ½ cup Natural Delights Date Syrup
  • 6 dashes orange bitters
  • ice cubes
  • splash of club soda
  • (garnish) orange peel
  • (garnish) cinnamon stick
  • Optional apple twist for the fall season:
  • 3/4 cup apple cider (if using this option add more rum!)
  • (garnish) with 1 Honey Crisp apple cut crosswise


  • In a cocktail shaker, shake the rum, date syrup, orange bitters and orange peel (add apple cider option) together.
  • Pour the drink over ice cube filled glasses. 
  • Add a splash of club soda to each glass.
  • Garnish with cinnamon stick and more orange peel (add apple slice option).

Note:  While drinking, occasionally stir with the cinnamon stick since the date syrup tends to settle to the bottom.
