Let’s break this down!
Step 1: Add 10 Medjool dates to a food processor or blender.
- You can use pitted Medjool dates or remove the pits if you have whole!
Step 2: Add in your preferred ingredients and blend with the Medjool dates just until thoroughly mixed.
- 1/2 cup of dried fruit (apples, strawberries, cherries, blueberries, mango, pineapple)
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup nuts (pecans, almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts)
- 1 Tbsp seeds or oats (hemp, chia, sesame, flax, oats)
- 2 Tbsp nut butter (peanut, cashew, almond, coconut, sunflower)
- Extras (cinnamon, vanilla, salt, cacao, coconut, protein powder)
Step 3: Transfer mixture to parchment paper. Gently roll the mixture into a log 1-1.5" in diameter. Slice into coins and roll each slice into a ball.
Step 4 (optional): Kick up your energy with a little extra flavor by rolling your energy balls in your favorite finish.
- 2 Tbsp shredded coconut
- 2 Tbsp chocolate drizzle - 60% cacao
- 2 Tbsp matcha tea powder
- 2 Tbsp cacao powder
- 1/4 cup freeze-dried raspberries
Step 4: Feel great!
It doesn’t get much simpler than that; you can tailor your energy balls however you like and mix & match your base with different finishes for a snack time variety.
